About

DaDolls

The name Da Dolls has nothing to do with the movement “Dada”, though it might show a concept resemblance. Da Dolls is a fine art photography project involving different stories connected with “Da” that is notably used in different languages having different meanings and use. The name is just as confusing as the meaning of this project. ”Da” might mean ”The” in English or ”Dad” in Irish slang or ”Yes” in Russian and some other slavic languages.

Story #1 – DaBeginning

Da Beginning is a showcase that dives into a surrealistic world influenced by events from the real world since 2019. The work combines photography technique with fine art. The story weighs on symbolic characters and events showing an emotional state of the artist trying to understand the world in this time period we live in.

What made sense makes none no more…as if though common sense and nonsense have made an agreement just to laugh at us and spit in our souls. Is this world real or are we living an illusion? What does the future hold or does it even matter? Do we have control or are we being controlled?”
